Upside Down - Brian Jaims, Single Cover
[Single Cover Design • 2024] - Creative Direction, PhotographyThis was Brian Jaims’ first single, so we wanted the cover to feel raw and a little off to fit his image we were working towards. We printed the shirt and shot the whole thing in like an hour. The idea came from those bold Barbara Krueger-style graphics, but flipped upside down to match the song’s title and theme. We also introduced the clothespins here—something small but weirdly meaningful. They’ve kinda become a signature in Brian’s visuals since.
While we were shooting, the wind kept blowing the shirt around, so I had him adjust it and I ended up liking the way his hands looked holding the rope. It wasn’t part of the plan, but it added this extra layer of human that felt more honest than the cleaner, more “perfect” shots. So we kept it.
